Dr. Bill Bright called this book, "Magnificent. . . . One of those rare, life-changing books." The sad truth is that holiness is one of the most misunderstood topics in the Church today, with one side preaching legalistic bondage and the other side preaching false grace. In Go And Sin No More, Dr. Michael L. Brown strikes a biblical balance and points the way to a grace-filled, Spirit-e empowered holiness, revealing how you can overcome temptation and live a passionate life of holiness that will fill God's heart with joy. Drawing on years of Scripture study and and personal experience, Brown's book is filled with practical steps, biblical guidance, and inspirational quotes that will give you strength to boldly and aggressively overcome sin and walk in the liberty and freedom that Jesus purchased for you by His blood. Begin living a life that is pleasing in God's eyes and experience a deeper level of spiritual strength, hunger and effectiveness. It's time to experience the beauty of holiness today!
Go and Sin No More A Call to Holiness edition by Michael L Brown Religion Spirituality eBooks
"Go and Sin No More" is not a cheerful book--but it's still well worth the reading. Author Michael Brown challenges readers to take a searching look at themselves. "Are you as devoted to the Lord as a professional athlete is to sports or a professional musician is to music or a driven businessman is to money?" he asks.Brown is not a legalist. He is not condemning the so-called sins that "holiness churches" sometimes have majored in, such as women wearing short sleeves or lipstick. He doesn't want his readers to become legalists either, because often legalists focus on "outward forms and not inner realities."
What Dr. Brown does want to impress on readers are the things that keep one from living totally for God. They are things, for example, that affect our thought life, such as decadent books, x-rated movies, or unclean internet sites--things which much of American society has accommodated to, but which serious Christians cannot afford to dabble in: "Holiness is not an option. We are called to live holy lives--and that means it is a divine requirement."
This is not a book for the half-hearted. It calls for following the laws of a heavenly kingdom rather than the disintegrating morality of the world we live in. "Go and Sin No More" could be a useful guidebook as well as an inspirational motivator for people who undertake that spiritual walk.

Go and Sin No More A Call to Holiness edition by Michael L Brown Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
Dr. Michael Brown provides a comprehensive breakdown of sin is so destructive, dangerous, and foolish. He gives an important distinction between legalism and antinomianism. This book is a must read if you want to know what Holiness looks like and what it does not. I commend this book to all my fellow pastor and laymen. Truly we must go and sin no more
I chose this rating because this book is much-needed in the Body of Christ. Too often has there been a tendency in the Church to interpret Romans 7 as describing the Christian's everyday experience. In this view, the Christian's struggle towards holiness is an impossible task, something that cannot be remedied. Brown helps us to understand that it IS possible through the grace of God. The grace of God, according to the biblical text, is not only "unmerited favor," but "divine enablement," which enables the Christian to live a holy life. This makes the most sense given the victorious tone of Romans 8. Amazing book life-changing, Christ-exalting, and God-honoring.
I came across Michael Brown for the first time this year, and have been surprised that I had never heard of him before. I enjoy the insights of this man of God who thoroughly believes in the power of the Holy Spirit while also seriously studying the scriptures, research and producing high quality Christian content. In God and Sin No More, Brown makes a serious call back to holiness. He begins by doing something seldom heard in preaching today - highlighting the dangers of sin, and giving reasons not to sin. The reason I love this is because we lack much preaching and teaching on "resisting sin". We focus on the remedy - which is needed and good - but after receiving grace we seldom focus on teaching sin. In my book No More Whacky Worship (God's Revival Series), I make a call back to true worship which includes "Sanctify Your Temple" - a call to holiness. We cannot walk in true worship without aspiring to a life of holiness for God is holy.
I believe that it is the responsibility of every man and woman that God has called by his grace and mercy to preach the holy gospel of his beloved son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to proclaim without rest the truths of the Holy Word of God to everyone who wants to hear and desire with all your heart to know God intimately.
Sin is the reason why man cannot have a real relationship with God. Today people are very religious, but God does not dwell in religion, whatever it may be including the so called christian religion. God desires an intimate relationship with His children, relationship is not the same as religion.
This book is life changing.
This book opened my eyes in a way that I had not seen before that teaching the importance of "holiness" is not "legalism". If we live our Christian life thinking that emphasizing holiness is legalism, then we will too easily make excuses for sin. This book does an excellent job dispelling this myth. Most of the books in the New Testament emphasize the importance of holiness. If we have a different perspective than this, our thinking is not Biblical.
To quote Dr. Brown
"Have you actually deceived yourself by giving yourself a license for sin in the name of "liberty"? Have you despised the precious closeness you once enjoyed with Jesus by calling it "legalism"? Run back into His presence-with all the discipline and devotion that demands-while His arms are still open wide. Where godly sorrow is found, abundant grace is also found."
This book also does an excellent job explaining the difference between conviction and condemnation.
The best chapter in the book is entitled "The Fateful End" (Chapter 4). The chapter is about one Hebrew Word aharît (אַחֲרִ֣ית). This is a life changing chapter.
Deu 3229 says
Deut 3229 Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!
"latter end" in that verse is aharît. If we would only consider the aharît!
I will not spoil this chapter in any way, but it is worth the price of the book!
Blessings,
Peter
